Do’s and Don’t of the Oscars: 2012 Edition

You won’t find a list of winners here. Just check ever other entertainment blog on the face of the earth. Here we just have the Do’s and Don’ts of the Oscars: 2012 Edition.

Do’s and Don’ts: 2012

  1. Do check your sound. My television couldn’t been the only one with weird audio feedback and sound.
  2. Do let Billy Crystal host every year. Maybe he can switch it on and off with Hugh. Billy does it simple, classic. It might seem boring or safe, but overall he carried the show well. The audience seemed to agree.
  3. Don’t do fun facts before commercial breaks. I don’t care. I don’t like it when you do it during the Emmys so I’m definitely not going to like it during the Oscars.
  4. Do let Emma Stone come on stage more often. She will be my best friend. She was so funny and charming. Not in an obnoxious way either. I thought she and Ben Stiller played very nicely.
  5. Don’t let RDJ do that documentary thing again. I love him, but it was very awkward. Let me say it again, I love him, but don’t let him do that again.
  6. Do switch up your presentation such as Cameron Diaz. She does present like every year. Let her have a little fun. Same for Sandra Bullock. She was Ms. Congeniality, let her speak that German Chinese! Find the right balance. Yes to the ladies. Just let RDJ stand there and be handsome.
  7. Don’t do little jokes that aren’t that funny. Do a test audience on the test audience skit. You can save time. Speaking about time… look to the next one.
  8. Don’t say you’ll end at 11:30. Be honest with yourselves… you always end at 11:40.
  9. Do allow Colin Firth to present all awards. You can’t say no to that face or that voice.
  10. Don’t let there only be two Best Song nominees. Also Do let them perform. It’s more entertaining.
Bonus:
  1. Do play a side game on tumblr or twitter with other fans of an actor.  Benedict Cumberwatch ’12 on tumblr. It was highly entertaining for myself since I’ve just become a fan.
  2. Do make a twitter for Angelina Jolie’s leg. Pretty funny when going through your feed and you see that.

Sandy Bullock and her precious baby boy!

Just got my People Magazine and I just have to tell you… I loved the Sandra article over the Most Beautiful People List.

Look at that baby! Isn’t he so cute?

The necklace around his neck was made by Sunny, Jesse Jame’s daughter.

Look at the beautiful mama and her baby?

Here are a couple quotes from the article:

How did you decided on his name? It was one of the first names that came to mind. Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” kept playing in my head when I looked at him, so Louis just seemed to stick.

How are Jesse’s kids dealing with the media frenzy? I feel such guilt and sadness about how they have been hunted by the photographers. I just wanted to tak the photographers if they children. Would this be fair to do to them?….This is was not of their making.

Your mother, Helga, who died in 200, didn’t get to see you make this journey. What do you draw from her when it comes to parenting? Oh, I think she sees this journey. And I think she may have had a small hand in it. Why else would it have happened this way at this time? Helga knows something I don’t. And I’d l like to think they met on his way down here and she filled him on some things. I want him to know no limits on where he can go. I want him to experience all cultures, nationalities, countries and people like I did. I want his mind to be open and free. We were raised that we are all the same. No one greater, smarter, more powerful. We are all equal. I would love for Louis to know that. He has a big, beautiful, diverse family. As long as he knows he is loved and protected and given the opportunity to touch and see everything, then I will have done my job as a mama.

What are your dreams for Louis? My dreams are simple. That he knows loves-lots of it. That he see life’s sorrows don’t eliminate the great joys. That he was wanted so much by two people who loved each other.

Is there a positive lesson you have taken away from the last months? To say that I am changed is an understatement. But that might not be a bad thing. I have learned a lot about what I am and what I am no. But the most important thing to me was to protect and know the truth. And the truth is simple. The things I hold most dear are things that could not have happened without Jesse. Maybe I needed this rug yanked out from under me so publicly so that I had not choice but to look at what I needed to look at, both inside and out. And maybe [her late mother] Helga had some hand in this. Maybe I needed this to happen so that I could be the very best mother to Louis. We wouldn’t know the sweet moments in life unless we had the pain. And painfully, I’m going to miss so much.

All quotes are pictures are from People Magazine. Sandra Bullock has filed her divorce papers and will be a single mother to Louis. She still wants to be involved in Jesse’s kids lives because Louis is their brother.

Jesse James is in the Doghouse: Update on all the drama

Poor Sandra Bullock, that’s all I have to say. Here’s the update on the not-so-nice-soon-to-be-Ex-Husband-of-Ms.-Bullock.

According to People Magazine as of yesterday, Jesses James has checked himself into rehab for his problems.”Jesse checked himself into a treatment facility to deal with personal issues,” his rep said in a statement. “He realized that this time was crucial to help himself, help his family and help save his marriage.”

As my dad who loves Sandra Bullock says and what he overheard the other night from  some friends, what did in he check in for? Because stupidity has no cure.

To those who were counting on how many people he cheated with, his mistress count is up to five. Hey Jesse, do you and Tiger want to exchange numbers? Oh and also… Jesse’s Nazi picture came out, putting a bigger smile on the tabloids faces…

First here’s a quick lesson to all celebrities who like to do stupid things.  If you are to do something you aren’t supposed to be doing,… 1. Don’t do it 2. If  you are incapable of thinking and can’t follow step one, don’t do it around people with cameras…duh

Sandra Bullock has somehow avoided the Paparazzi and at the same time is in talks with a divorce lawyer. These are just rumors, though I wouldn’t doubt Sandra from taking this next step.

A lot of Hollywood including the funny friend of Sandra Bullock, Betty White, is giving her two cents on this situation.  She remains the great  lady we love and says according to ETonline.com,” I think that’s Sandy’s business; that’s not mine. I love her with all my heart. [She’s] one of the greatest human beings on the planet,” Betty said.”We’re all deeply, deeply saddened. At such a high-point in her life, it’s tough,” Betty said of the terrible timing for such devastating news to break, “but I think the less other people have to say about it and let her work it out, it is [for] the better.”

Bullock’s costar in “The Blind Side”, Tim McGraw also shared his thoughts on the whole situation in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in Canada and was quoted in People.com, “I haven’t [reached out to Bullock]. You know, she’s got a lot on her plate… I just wish her nothing but the best.”

Sandra Bullock, if it matters you have this Long Island girl’s support in whatever you choose to do.

P.S. Jesse found Cinnabun who was missing… he was locked in a storage closet in Jesse’s bike shop by mistake. Nice one…

Latest bargain: Give us your wedding ring and we’ll give you an Oscar.

First there was Kate Winslet and her marriage woes. She was 2009 Best Actress winner.

Now, we have the newest Best Actress winner, Sandra Bullock, who is now dealing with her own marriage woes.

Word was spread on March 17th, that Sandra would be pulling out of  “The Blind Side” premiere in the U.K.

Why? The tabloids reported that there was trouble in her marriage. Wait…what? Jesse James seemed to be her doting husband at the Oscars. Didn’t he even cry when she won her award? I guess he isn’t so supportive.

The trouble all started with Michelle “Bombshell” McGee, a tattoo model. She claimed she had an 11 month affair with Bullock’s husband. She told “InTouch” Magazine that she starting getting together with James while Bullock was filming “The Blind Side”. Now, “InTouch” isn’t on my high list of sources to trust, but soon reports started coming in that Bullock left their Long Beach house that she shared with James. Then today, James gave a statement to “People Magazine” regarding all the gossip and rumors of infidelity.

“The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded. Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment. There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way. This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.”

I guess Intouch might be right for once. Fact: James is still wearing his wedding ring. Sandy’s however has not been pictured yet.

Also on top of her marriage problems in the press, it was reported by “TMZ” that Cinnabun, their pit bull that went missing last month, has gone missing again.

After all these Oscar Winning Woman woes, I don’t think I want to touch one of these golden men. I think they might be cursed.

OMG! Oscars outfits I loved….

So I know the Oscars were two days ago, but the fashion they wore is still relevant.  Here are my top five and later, my not so top five…

1.Cameron DiazShe wore Oscar de la Renta and couldn’t look more fabulous. Her stylist, Rachel Zoe is one of the top stylists for celebrities for a reason. I also loved how natural her hair looked. She told Nate Berkus on Oprah that she wore red lipstick to distract viewers from how tired she looked. Well, it worked.

2. Rachel McAdams: Ms. McAdams wore Elie Saab Haute Couture and as always looked fabulous on the red carpet. I’m sure if the sun was shinning in Hollywood instead of rain, the dress would have looked even more beautiful. I loved the colors and I loved the criss-crossing in the front. Also the earrings and the hair pulled back helped sell this look.

3. Sandra Bullock: Sandra looked like a winner before she even won her oscar that night in vintage Marchesa.  The beading was exquisite and elegant. The only thing that slightly bothered me was her hair at times. I loved it down, but sometimes it didn’t look right to me and it annoyed me.

4. Maggie Gyllenhaal: “The Crazy Heart” nominee wore a vibrant Dries Van Noten floral column dress. I was such a fan of the color because it popped on the carpet. It was fantastic and catching to the eye.

5. Vera Farmiga: This dress I was debating whether I liked it or hated it. I’ve decided the bright color and the ruffles have won me over. For the longest time, I didn’t know if the ruffles were too much, but I’ve finally let the ruffles win me over. It was just the right dress to walk down that Oscar Red Carpet.

Okay, next up are my five least favorite and a couple honorable mentions that floated in between.
