Laziness doesn’t distract me from celebrity news…

So scouring the late night celebrity gossip, I have a three things that I want to highlight.

1.The thing that made me laugh today….

Kristen Bell and her emotional sloth meltdown on the Ellen show.  This girl loves sloths. She also loves a good cry. Please just watch this if you love to laugh.

2. Kelly Kapoor being awesome.…Mindy Kaling got a comedy ordered from FOX. I honestly can’t see “The Office” lasting many more seasons so Mindy has got her feelers out there. I read her book and she’s a pretty funny girl. I’m happy for her that FOX is looking at her stuff. The Hollywood Reporter says it’s Bridget Jones-esque with Mindy as the star, running her professional and personal life as a doctor.  Side note: her mom is a doctor.

You go Mindy Kaling!

3. Taylor Swift… I still love you

T-Swift did not nab the role of Eponine in the film production of “Les Miserables”. As much as I love Taylor, people including myself did not want her to play Epionine. She just doesn’t have this strong film presence that a character like Eponine deserves. She has got a great stadium presence and she owns the show, but I’m happy that she and the producers decided not to see eye to eye. Samantha Barks has received the role. She just recently played Epinone in the 25th anniversary edition with Nick Jonas. Check out her singing below!

Well, are you upset T-Swift wasn’t picked? Are you happy for Mindy Kaling? Have you ever cried for Sloths? Let me know!

Sandy Bullock and her precious baby boy!

Just got my People Magazine and I just have to tell you… I loved the Sandra article over the Most Beautiful People List.

Look at that baby! Isn’t he so cute?

The necklace around his neck was made by Sunny, Jesse Jame’s daughter.

Look at the beautiful mama and her baby?

Here are a couple quotes from the article:

How did you decided on his name? It was one of the first names that came to mind. Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” kept playing in my head when I looked at him, so Louis just seemed to stick.

How are Jesse’s kids dealing with the media frenzy? I feel such guilt and sadness about how they have been hunted by the photographers. I just wanted to tak the photographers if they children. Would this be fair to do to them?….This is was not of their making.

Your mother, Helga, who died in 200, didn’t get to see you make this journey. What do you draw from her when it comes to parenting? Oh, I think she sees this journey. And I think she may have had a small hand in it. Why else would it have happened this way at this time? Helga knows something I don’t. And I’d l like to think they met on his way down here and she filled him on some things. I want him to know no limits on where he can go. I want him to experience all cultures, nationalities, countries and people like I did. I want his mind to be open and free. We were raised that we are all the same. No one greater, smarter, more powerful. We are all equal. I would love for Louis to know that. He has a big, beautiful, diverse family. As long as he knows he is loved and protected and given the opportunity to touch and see everything, then I will have done my job as a mama.

What are your dreams for Louis? My dreams are simple. That he knows loves-lots of it. That he see life’s sorrows don’t eliminate the great joys. That he was wanted so much by two people who loved each other.

Is there a positive lesson you have taken away from the last months? To say that I am changed is an understatement. But that might not be a bad thing. I have learned a lot about what I am and what I am no. But the most important thing to me was to protect and know the truth. And the truth is simple. The things I hold most dear are things that could not have happened without Jesse. Maybe I needed this rug yanked out from under me so publicly so that I had not choice but to look at what I needed to look at, both inside and out. And maybe [her late mother] Helga had some hand in this. Maybe I needed this to happen so that I could be the very best mother to Louis. We wouldn’t know the sweet moments in life unless we had the pain. And painfully, I’m going to miss so much.

All quotes are pictures are from People Magazine. Sandra Bullock has filed her divorce papers and will be a single mother to Louis. She still wants to be involved in Jesse’s kids lives because Louis is their brother.

Romantic Comedies… will they get good again?

I think most girls can agree with me that we enjoy good romantic comedies. They are like a good pair of shoes or a good chic lit book come to life. We can’t have enough of them. The one thing for me personally I can get enough of is, bad romantic comedies. When I saw “The Backup Plan” trailer, I personally didn’t think it looked good. I knew I wouldn’t be paying ten dollars to see it. Sorry J.Lo, your days of  “Maid in Manhattan” are over. Sure there are people out there who will, but not that many for a huge box office hit.

Another one coming out “Letters to Juliet”. It looks good. Good, but predictable as the trailer lays it out for you. Bad trailer maker… we like to pretend that we are surprised.

The same could be said for “Valentine’s Day”. It was expected to do so well with all those big names including Taylor Swift, Eric Dane, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel, etc… It did okay. Not great as the production companies had hopped.  “Ghost of Girlfriend Past”  was also cute, but you know I waited until it came out on DVD to rent…not buy.

The last good one I can think of is “The Proposal”.  Am I right?

The question is when will a good one come out and not be so predictable? What hasn’t been done already? That’s tough too because sometimes I think we like predictable. We know what’s going to happen. We know she ‘s going to end up with guy in the end 95% of the time.

The other question is who will be the next Romantic Comedy Queen? For awhile it was Meg Ryan in the 90’s with “You’ve Got Mail”, “Sleepless in Seattle, and “When Harry Met Sally”.   I found this interesting blog that did a field guide for who could be next. Field Guide to who would be the next Romcom queen

Pretty much here’s how they break it down for the first four. The list goes on for awhile. I’m just gonna discuss the first four:

1. Katherine Heigl

(examiner.com)

Heigl did “27 dresses” which I loved which I think thanks are in order to leading man, James Marsden.  She also did “Knocked Up” and “The Ugly Truth”. Now that “Grey’s Anatomy” is done for her, I guess she has more time to read more Romcom scripts.

2. Amy Adams

(ew.com)

She was in “Enchanted” which everyone and their kids love. She also did “Leap Year” which went through the box office virtually unnoticed. Adams is now pregnant, so I’m not so sure she will have time to fight Heigl for those scripts.

3. Kate  Hudson

(celebritywonder.com)

Hudson has been around the Romantic Comedy loop a couple times. One of my favorites “How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days” did very well, but then she also did “Fool’s Gold” which didn’t do so well. So maybe she’s on her way out of this race, but I’m guessing she won’t leave without a fight.

4. Amanda Seyfried

(comicbookmovie.com)

“Mama Mia” was great fun, but Seyfried also had the great Meryl Streep to support her. Let’s see how well she does in “Letters to Juliet”.

The list goes on with pros and cons. Personally I kinda want it to be Isla Fisher because I was just watching “Confessions of a Shopaholic” today. Though that movie didn’t to well in the theater…maybe there is still hope for her. Maybe not though since she is pregnant for a second time. What? Yep, the Paparazzi pictures don’t lie, for once.

I guess congratulations are in order for Olive, Isla and Sacha Baron Cohen!  Next time, I’ll discuss my favorite top ten romantic comedies sometime soon.

So what are your favorite romantic comedies and who do you think will be the next romantic comedy queen?

Matthew Morrison: I choose this man over my “Glee” Recap

(fanpop.com)

I lie.. Here’s a quick recap of Glee and my thoughts.  Last night’s Glee was awesome with everything Madonna. Really it was. The story line however was pretty much the same for all the characters whether it be Rachel, Finn or Emma who were all deciding whether they wanted to give up their “V” card. Well, the women didn’t, but Finn did with Santana.

My favorite part of this episode was Sue siding with Mercedes and Kurt. Obviously she is still trying to destroy Glee club, but I still thought it was kinda awesome with her letting them join the cheerios. Mercedes had a point when she was like “you only use me to belt out the last note.”

I also liked the reoccurrence of Becky Johnson as that was one of my favorite episodes.

Can’t wait for next’s weeks epsiode where Kurt plays matchmaker! Also I love Brittany: ” I think my cat is reading my diary”

All right, the real reason is this post is all about Mr. Schuester a.k.a Matthew Morrison. I love this man for three reasons.

1. Native New Yorker who was on Broadway

2. He loves the New York Mets

3. He’s got curly hair.

Fun fact which I am sure all you gleeks know: Matt Morrison is getting a record contract with Island Def Jam record group. Can’t wait!

Here are some fun things today when I went googling Matt Morrison.

(Todd Williamson/ wire image)

Matts interview with NY Mag

Two videos: one from the glee dvd where he bikes around NY with a NY Mets hat…adorable, second one is “Legally Brown” with Lin-Manuel Miranda of In the Heights

“Legally Brown”

Hope everyone enjoyed my Matt Morrison spamming of sorts.

Kal Penn Robbed at Gunpoint: Should’ve stayed on “House”

(gossipcraze.com)

Remember Kutner’s suicide on “House” last season or was that two seasons ago? Anyway, remember the actor Kal Penn, who played Kutner and who is also more famously known from “Harold and Kumar”, left  “House” to pursue his political passions. I would stick to acting if I was you.

Kal Penn joined President Obama’s staff as a Public Liaison and wanted to focus the President’s attention on Asian-American and  Pacific Islander communities.

On Tuesday April 20th at 1:20 A.M. Kal Penn was robbed at gunpoint according to TMZ which was confirmed by with his publicist, Jennifer Goodwin. His wallet, his cell phone and other belongings were stolen.  The police have not commented on this manner.

See Kal, House would’ve just stolen your items for fun and eventually returned them in some manner. My question is why was he out walking around 1:20 A.M. No offense, I wouldn’t walk anywhere outside at 1 A.M.

On April 8th, let your little toes breathe…official barefoot day

I really want to a buy a pair of TOM’s shoes because they looks super comfy and are good for the environment, but they are also good for the soul. That’s right, with every pair of TOM shoes you buy, the TOM team donates a pair of shoes to a child in need. Its ONE for ONE

Tomorrow April 8th is Official Barefoot Day. It seems kinda gross, but think about, there are tons of children who go each day without shoes. That’s right. Here’s TOM’s video to get inspired to do some good.

Apparently the Jonas Brothers are joining the cause ..hmm I think they will have an easier time of doing this. I will need some physical proof tomorrow. That’s right Paparazzi, I’m looking at you.

Also Kristen Bell is joining the cause…

If you can’t go barefoot because of work or if you are skeeved out by walking around your campus or parking lots, wear a pair of TOM shoes or at least join the online cause by putting in your status on facebook or twitter about official barefoot day.

cant go barefoot?

One day without shoes

I’ll let you know what I decide whether it be virtual or not…
